Vision: Preservation and advancement of Bengali Culture, language and way of life.
Mission: To provide a forum in which people of the Indian subcontinent living in and
around Central Florida and other persons interested in India, in particular Bengal, may
gather, disseminate, and exchange information about Bengali culture,
literature, art, music, history and religions in order to preserve a sense of identity as an
ethnic group in the United States of America.
"All of us journeyed far from our Motherland to establish ourselves in the "land of
opportunity," America. We came with a heritage and a culture in which we all grew up
and have tried to adjust to a different life while maintaining our heritage. Our children
were born here, growing up in the culture of this Motherland. We wanted to keep our
heritage alive among us and involve our children to instill our culture in them."
